FEATURED EVENT
First Friday Lunch and Learn
Nourish Your Spirit and Mind with Berkeley School of Theology
This presentation explores the historical journey of Christian missions among Native American nations, beginning with the original missionary commission from the United States, through the American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ involvement, and into present-day strategies for supporting Native churches on their path toward self-determination. We will reflect on both the fruitful legacies and the difficult tensions of the past and consider how today’s church can walk alongside Native believers with humility, partnership, and respect.
Save the date for the next Lunch & Learn, December 5!
Topic: From Commission to Self-Determination: Christian Missions and Native Nations
Speaker: Rev. Benjamin T. Sullivan, National Coordinator for Native American Ministries, American Baptist Home Mission Societies
Can’t make it to the November 7, 2025 session? Don’t worry, it will be recorded and uploaded to their YouTube Channel.
