Who We Are:
Members of Good Shepherd
endeavor to be a caring, generous, supportive, independent-thinking, diverse, and
informal community who come from a variety of religious backgrounds and
generally consider themselves to be seekers in their spiritual journeys.
Children and youth are an integral part of life at Good Shepherd. Their
nurture, care and faith development are emphasized in our programming.
Our Church
History:
The
story of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Lynnwood, Washington, began when a
community of people officially gathered to form a mission church in 1960. Good
Shepherd was sponsored by University Baptist Church, Seattle, in 1959. Good Shepherd is located on nearly five acres
at the center of the South Snohomish County communities of Lynnwood, Edmonds and
Mountlake Terrace, near Edmonds Community College. We completed construction on
our present building in 1961.
Denominational

we are regionally affiliated to the Evergreen Association of American Baptist
Churches. This region is committed to cultural diversity and reaching consensus
decisions through a unique ethnic caucus format. Please see our links page for
